Julia Robinson has taught, performed and choreographed contemporary dance for over 20 years. She has created and presented works in the Next Wave Festival, at Dancehouse and at various artist run spaces/galleries such as Linden and Bus Galleries. She also danced for Melbourne based choreographer Shelley Lasica in various projects, performed at the NGV as part of the Melbourne Festival; Chunky Move; Dancehouse and NGVA. Juliataught dance at Chunky Move and Dancehouse in Melbourne for many years, before moving with her family to Central Victoria in 2012, where she enjoys a quieter life with a garden and chickens. She currently teaches contemporary dance classes for adults at Over The Moon and the Movement Zone in Castlemaine. In 2018 she was involved in “Nibble Nibble” an immersive art experience based on the story Hansel and Gretel. This was a collaborative project at Newstead Primary School involving dance, theatre, music and fine art created by Janice Muller funded by The Regional Centre for Culture and Creative Victoria.
